On May 23, 2025, a 25-year-old influencer named Nicholas Pinto attended a Trump banquet, having accumulated $360,000 worth of TRUMP tokens to secure his attendance. However, the dining experience left him deeply disappointed. Pinto described the food as "simply garbage, Walmart-level steak." The menu items, including the "Trump Organic Garden Salad" and the "Double Entrée" (filet mignon + pan-seared sole), received widespread criticism from the attendees. Pinto stated that everyone at his table agreed it was the worst meal they had ever eaten.
Despite the poor quality of the food, the highlight of the evening was the presence of Trump himself. When asked if the event was worth the ticket price, Pinto bluntly responded, "I was hoping to eat Trump's favorite Big Mac or pizza, both of which are better than tonight's food."
Upon arriving at the banquet, Pinto was greeted by a protest from the nonprofit organization "Public Citizen." The organization's co-chair, Robert Weissman, had previously criticized Trump's crypto business as one of the most corrupt innovations in American political history. The atmosphere inside the club was equally tense. Although Trump did give a speech at the event, Pinto criticized it as mostly nonsense, and most guests had no chance to get close to the president. Even the event's host, conservative media anchor Kaitlin Sinclair, complained, "Trump didn't even give a group photo."
After the banquet ended around 10 p.m., Pinto went to have a late-night snack. He summed up his experience by saying, "The only things I could eat all night were the pre-dinner bread and butter."
