The NSE Nifty finished at 25,910.05, up 0.1%, while the BSE Sensex ended at 84,562.78, up 0.1%. Despite weak global cues, Indian markets posted weekly gains of 1.6%, with sectoral indices such as Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty FMCG gaining 1.2% and 0.6% respectively. Foreign portfolio investors sold shares worth a net ₹4,968.22 crore on Friday.
