Indian Air Force Pilot Wing Commander Namansh Syal Killed in Dubai Tejas Crash

Wing Commander Namansh Syal, 37, was killed during a demonstration at the Dubai Airshow when his Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA Mk-1) crashed while executing a low-level aerobatic manoeuvre. Syal hailed from Himachal Pradesh and was a decorated officer. The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to determine the cause of the accident. This is the second crash involving the indigenous Tejas since its induction into service in 2016.
