Improving Search Relevance with Automatic Semantic Enrichment in Amazon OpenSearch Serverless

Amazon OpenSearch Serverless has introduced automatic semantic enrichment to improve search relevance. This feature converts text fields into sparse vectors during ingestion, enabling semantic search without requiring model selection, hosting, or integration with an OpenSearch Serverless collection. Automatic semantic enrichment supports English-only and multilingual options, including Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, Finnish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Russian, and Spanish.
