ICE--
The Republican budget bill includes $170 billion for an unprecedented crackdown on immigration, making the annual budget of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) larger than Israel's entire defense budget. This funding would leave vital aspects of immigration reform unaddressed but is essential to President Donald Trump's mass deportation plans. The current budget for ICE is about $10 billion a year, and the tax bill would give it another $100 billion to spend by 2029. The funding would allow ICE to increase its force from 6,000 agents to 16,000 and create a 100,000-bed daily capacity.
