ICAEW Announces Strong June 2025 ACA Exam Results with High Pass Rates Across All Subjects

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has released the results of the June 2025 ACA Professional Level exams, with 7,950 candidates participating. The pass rates were notably strong across various subjects, reflecting the robust performance of the candidates.
The Business Strategy and Technology exam led with an 86.1% success rate, followed by Business Planning: Taxation and Financial Management, which saw pass rates of 84.2% and 84.7% respectively. The Audit and Assurance exam also performed well, with an 81.5% pass rate. However, the Business Planning: Insurance exam posed a greater challenge, with a pass rate of 73.5%.
ICAEW Education and Training MD Will Holt congratulated the students who passed, expressing his wish for their future success in their studies and careers. Additionally, the results of the Level 4 Accounting Technician end-point assessment were disclosed, with all 11 students passing the Portfolio and Reflective Statement, and an 80% pass rate for the Role Simulation exam among 15 candidates.
The ICAEW also recognized candidates who achieved the highest marks in each subject. In Audit and Assurance, Lara Kay Noden of London (Goldman Sachs International), Sophia Nabeel of Haywards Heath (Feist Hedgethorne Limited), and Adam Bolchover of Cheadle (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) jointly secured first place and were awarded the Watts prize. Amie Bletso of London (Lloyds Banking Group – Finance Graduate Scheme) attained first place in Business Planning: Banking, while Ashleigh Hamilton of Dorchester (CB Reid Limited) earned first place and the Little prize in Business Planning: Taxation. Yu Xuan Chng of Leeds (Forvis Mazars LLP) secured first place and the Railton prize in Business Strategy and Technology, and Hui Lin Wong of Malaysia secured first place and the Spicer and Pegler prize in Financial Accounting and Reporting.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) also released the pass rates for the June 2025 exam sitting. A total of 111,639 students entered the exams, completing 128,651 exams. Notably, 4,527 students completed their final exams to become ACCA affiliates. In the Applied Knowledge segment, Business & Technology achieved the highest pass rate at 88%, followed by Financial Accounting at 68% and Management Accounting at 64%. At the Applied Skills level, Corporate and Business Law led with an 81% pass rate, while Taxation and Financial Reporting had lower rates of 54% and 50%, respectively. Performance Management and Audit and Assurance recorded pass rates of 43% and 44%, respectively. At the Strategic Professional level, Strategic Business Leader pass rate was at 51% and Strategic Business Reporting at 49%. In the Options module, Advanced Audit and Assurance and Advanced Performance Management, both at 40%, while Advanced Financial Management and Advanced Taxation reported pass rates of 46% and 49%, respectively.
ACCA executive director of content, quality, and innovation Alan Hatfield congratulated the successful students, highlighting the strong engagement with key learning resources such as My Exam Performance, the Practice Platform, and the Study Hub. He also emphasized the smooth transition prepared for students on or about to start their ACCA journey, ensuring that existing achievements are recognized and there will be no disadvantage in terms of progression or cost to complete the qualification.
