IBM (IBM.US) is set to acquire Accelalpha to enhance its consulting capabilities.

IBM (IBM.US) announced plans to acquire Accelalpha, a company dedicated to helping clients digitize core business operations and accelerate the adoption of Oracle Cloud Applications. The acquisition will expand IBM's Oracle consulting capabilities in supply chain and logistics, finance, enterprise performance management, and customer transformation. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024. IBM's Senior Vice President of IBM Americas Consulting, Kelly Chambliss, said, "Through the acquisition of Accelalpha, IBM will be able to better help clients deploy and manage Oracle solutions, including generative AI and cloud technologies, to gain a competitive advantage." Accelalpha's CEO, Nat Ganesh, said, "We are excited to bring our expertise in Oracle Cloud solutions, as well as our targeted industry and domain knowledge, together with IBM's strengths in generative AI and hybrid cloud." IBM is continuing its acquisition strategy, focusing on hybrid cloud and generative AI, as well as consulting and software. In addition, IBM plans to complete its acquisition of HashiCorp by the end of this year.
