The world’s top-ranked nightclub Hï Ibiza has launched the world’s first in-club art gallery, marking a new intersection between nightlife culture and digital art. The venue, which has been consecutively voted the world’s best club for the last four years, unveiled the gallery this summer in collaboration with Ibiza-based nightlife group The Night League and London-based digital art collective W1 Curates [1]. The initiative features works by digital artists including Beeple, Mad Dog Jones, and others such as Annibale Siconolfi, Ash Thorp, Six N. Five, and Shiro [1].
The gallery blends digital, physical, and interactive art with custom-built display technology. It includes large-scale projections, immersive lighting, and installations that adapt to each artist’s visual style. Among the highlighted works is a six-foot green gummy bear created by British graphic designer KidEight, known for his collaborations with hip-hop artists such as 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane [1]. A mural by British graffiti artist Mr Cenz, located at the club entrance, offers an augmented reality experience through the W1 Curates smartphone application [1].
The gallery is designed to rotate every two weeks during the summer, ensuring a dynamic and evolving lineup of digital and physical artworks. This approach reflects the fast-paced nature of the club scene and aims to provide a multi-sensory experience for visitors. The in-club space is also expected to host talks and discussions with digital artists, including Smashtoshi, Trevor Jones, and Farokh, the president and co-founder of DASTAN [1].
This initiative positions Hï Ibiza as a pioneer in merging the NFT and digital art movement with physical entertainment spaces. The inclusion of Beeple, whose 2021 sale of Everydays: The First 5,000 Days fetched $69.3 million, highlights the gallery’s intent to bring high-profile digital artists to a broader, non-traditional audience [1]. The project builds on a growing trend of integrating digital and NFT art into physical environments, following similar ventures such as the NFT gallery launched by Bright Moments in 2021 and the Genesis exhibition by Web3 NYC Gallery in 2022 [1].
The gallery not only offers a space for viewing art but also aims to encourage deeper engagement through interactive and immersive elements. The organizers emphasize that the experience is designed to go beyond the dance floor, allowing guests to pause, explore, and connect with the art in new ways [1]. The Wild Corner, which will feature a DJ set, further enhances the entertainment value of the space while maintaining its cultural significance.
The launch of the in-club art gallery reflects the broader trend of integrating technology into traditional entertainment formats. As digital and NFT art continue to evolve, venues like Hï Ibiza are setting a precedent for how these works can be experienced in real-world settings. This initiative could signal a shift toward more immersive and interactive art experiences, where the lines between digital and physical are increasingly blurred [1].
