HyperLight, UMC, and Jabil collaborate to bring thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonics to hyperscale AI data centers. The partnership aims to accelerate deployment of TFLN photonic technology into high-volume manufacturing and assembly for next-generation optical modules. TFLN provides power savings and reduced complexity compared to incumbent approaches, making it suitable for hyperscale data centers. The collaboration brings together HyperLight's TFLN Chiplet Platform, UMC and Wavetek's foundry manufacturing, and Jabil's expertise in high-volume manufacturing and assembly.
