OORT, a pioneering force in the decentralized AI era, has launched HumanAIx, a global
aimed at advancing decentralized AI infrastructure. The alliance seeks to foster shared knowledge, interoperable frameworks, and secure AI solutions to propel the AI landscape forward. The founding members of HumanAIx include OORT, Neo, Storj, Oasis Protocol, YGG, io.net, XYO, AI.KIDO, DeTaSECURE, Unyt, Holo, Valdi, Supermoon. These members have joined forces to address the challenges faced by the three core pillars of AI development: compute, storage, and data.
The rapid advancement of AI has brought about significant challenges, including high costs, energy consumption, scalability limitations, and centralization. These issues restrict accessibility and efficiency in AI development. On the storage side, handling large data volumes and associated transfer costs remains a challenge. Meanwhile, data acquisition often raises ethical and legal concerns, with frequent violations of privacy rights. Data labeling further exacerbates the issue, relying on underpaid workers in poor working conditions, creating serious human rights concerns. Additionally, individuals who contribute data rarely receive fair compensation or incentives.
HumanAIx is an open protocol that seamlessly connects partners, each contributing critical components such as validation, storage, compute, and data, to create a decentralized AI infrastructure that is permissionless, scalable, and verifiable. It is built on a three-layer architecture, consisting of an interface layer, a protocol layer (which integrates compute, storage, and data), and a security layer. This initiative harnesses industry expertise and knowledge to collaboratively build an open environment for the future of decentralized AI.
Michael Robinson, Chairman of OORT Foundation, stated, "We believe AI should create more benefits than constraints for humanity. With the launch of HumanAIx, we are fostering a decentralized movement to ensure AI remains human-centric and serves the broader community. We are thrilled to collaborate with like-minded visionaries and excited to develop initiatives that better serve the AI community, ultimately building a truly human-centric ecosystem."
John Wang, Head of Neo Ecosystem Growth, commented, "At Neo, we believe that a decentralized, interoperable future is key to unlocking AI’s full potential. By joining HumanAIx, we are contributing to an open, verifiable AI infrastructure that empowers developers and businesses alike—
