Humacyte Study Finds Amputations, Infections Raise Hospital Charges by $493,000 and $590,000

A five-year retrospective analysis of hospital charges for extremity arterial injury repair found an average charge of $316,600 per patient. Amputations and infections increased this charge by $492,986 and $589,921 per patient, respectively. Humacyte's Symvess has demonstrated low infection rates and high limb salvage rates, which could reduce these charges.
