Huawei's AI research lab, Noah's Ark, has pushed back against accusations it copied rival models for its Pangu platform. The lab claims to have respected intellectual property and followed licensing terms. Huawei employed open-source code, but denies uncredited use of rival material. The response is rare for the company, which is known for its secrecy in AI services. Huawei's Pangu Pro MoE is the first model trained on Ascend chips, Huawei's answer to Nvidia's AI accelerators.
