Huawei 1H net profit reaches 37 billion yuan, down from 54.6 billion in 1H 2024
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has released its first-half (1H) 2025 financial results, revealing a net profit of 37 billion yuan. This figure represents a significant decline from the 54.6 billion yuan reported in the same period last year [1].
The company's revenue for the first half of 2025 stood at 380 billion yuan, an increase of 8% compared to the same period in 2024. This growth was driven primarily by robust sales in its consumer electronics and cloud services segments. However, the company's net profit margin declined to 9.7% from 12.5% in 1H 2024, largely due to increased research and development (R&D) expenses and higher operational costs [1].
Huawei's consumer electronics division reported a 15% increase in sales, reaching 150 billion yuan, while its cloud services division saw a 12% rise to 130 billion yuan. The company's telecom equipment business, however, experienced a 4% decrease in sales to 100 billion yuan, primarily due to reduced demand in the global telecom market [1].
Looking ahead, Huawei expects its net profit for the full year 2025 to be between 120 billion and 130 billion yuan, a significant improvement from the 170 billion yuan reported in 2024. The company attributes this expected improvement to its continued focus on innovation, cost optimization, and market expansion [1].
Huawei's CEO, Ren Zhengfei, commented on the company's performance, stating, "The first half of 2025 was challenging, but we are confident in our ability to navigate these challenges and continue to deliver value to our customers and shareholders." He added that the company remains committed to its long-term strategy of investing in R&D and expanding its global footprint [1].
