According to media reports, the 128GB version of the iPhone 14 is priced at RMB2349 on the JD.com, which is half the price of RMB4699 on Apple's official website. However, this is a limited-time discount and the price of the product on JD.com is RMB4349 as of the time of this article's publication.
It is worth noting that the iPhone 16 series is still on sale with discounts. In Apple's official Tmall flagship store, the iPhone 16 series is discounted by RMB500 when the total purchase is RMB3980. In the Apple product JD self-operated store, the iPhone 16 series can be redeemed with a coupon for RMB500.

Industry insiders believe that the price cuts of iPhone 16 and other models are related to Apple's sales pressure in China. Research institution Counterpoint's data shows that the sales of iPhone 16 series in China have increased compared to the first three weeks of the iPhone 15 series last year. However, the sales of the basic models of iPhone 16 have decreased. Overall, the sales of iPhone in these three periods have decreased by 2% year-on-year.
Research institution IDC's data shows that the shipment volume of China's smartphone market in the third quarter was about 68.78 million units, up 3.2% year-on-year, of which Apple's market share was 15.6%, ranking second. However, the shipment volume of iPhone in this quarter was 10.73 million units, down 0.3% year-on-year.
Apple's revenue in Greater China in the third quarter was US$15.033 billion, down from US$15.084 billion in the same period last year, and analysts expected US$15.8 billion. This means that Apple's revenue in Greater China in the third quarter may have decreased or been related to the decrease in iPhone sales.
Several mobile phone manufacturers have launched new flagship products in recent weeks, putting further pressure on Apple. Looking ahead, Counterpoint is pessimistic about the overall sales of iPhone.
Research institution Canalys believes that the delayed launch of Apple's smartwatch may have some impact on Apple's performance in the fourth quarter's holiday season and in 2025. IDC believes that the first sales of iPhone new models are not significantly improved compared to the same period last year, but the market will gradually release the demand for iPhone 16 series with the increase of market discounts and the launch of Apple's smartwatch.
