Holiday Returns Get Tougher: Retailers Charge Restocking Fees, Stricter Policies

Retailers are introducing restocking fees to minimize returns, which cost them money. According to the National Retail Federation, 72% of retailers now charge for some returns, up from 66% last year. Best Buy, Macy's, Kohl's, and TJX stores are among those implementing fees for holiday returns. These fees can range from 15% restocking fees to $9.99 return shipping fees.
