HIVE Digital Technologies (HIVE) reported a significant 18% increase in Bitcoin production in June 2025, mining 164 BTC [1]. The growth was driven by the successful operation of Phase 1 at the company's 100 MW facility in Yguazú, Paraguay, which saw an increase in hashrate to 11.4 exahash per second (EH/s) [1].
Phase 2 of HIVE's expansion in Paraguay is currently underway, aiming to reach a total hashrate of 25 EH/s by American Thanksgiving [1]. The company expects this phase to contribute approximately 6.5 EH/s using next-generation Bitmain S21+ Hydro miners, enhancing fleet efficiency to around 18.5 joules per terahash (J/TH) [1].
Additionally, HIVE raised C$96.7 million through an at-the-market (ATM) offering to support its aggressive expansion plans [1]. The funds will be used to grow its ASIC infrastructure and expand data center capacity [1].
The company's subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc. (BUZZ HPC), acquired a 7.2 MW Tier 3 data center in Toronto to bolster AI computing capabilities [1]. This acquisition represents HIVE's diversification into the high-growth AI infrastructure market.
