Hexagon Agility has secured a major order to supply CNG fuel systems for 100 trucks operated by Trayecto, Mexico's largest trucking company. The deal features Hexagon Agility's largest available onboard CNG fueling system and the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine, enabling a driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. The order follows growing momentum for Hexagon Agility, including a recent order from a leading American consumer goods manufacturer and a pre-deployment order from UPS in 2024.

Hexagon Agility has secured a significant order to supply compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for 100 trucks operated by Trayecto, Mexico's largest trucking company. The deal, announced on July 2, 2025, features Hexagon Agility's largest available onboard CNG fueling system and the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine, enabling a driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers [1].

"This is a watershed moment for clean trucking in this region of the world," said Eric Bippus, CCO of Hexagon Agility. "We are grateful that our proven fuel systems can be part of a winning combination to bring more affordable and cleaner commercial transportation to Trayecto and many other companies." The order builds on growing market momentum, following a recent order from a leading American consumer goods manufacturer for 60 natural gas trucks and a pre-deployment order from UPS in 2024 [1].

The trucks will feature Hexagon Agility's two largest onboard CNG fuel systems, delivering unprecedented storage capacity and range. These high-capacity configurations enable a driving range of over 1,000 kilometers, crucial for maintaining operational efficiency while dramatically reducing emissions. When fueled with renewable natural gas (RNG), the trucks can achieve carbon-negative operations, offering a valuable tool for fleets working to meet climate targets and regulatory requirements [1].

Hexagon Agility's latest order from Trayecto highlights the growing demand for cleaner and more sustainable transportation solutions. Clean Energy Fuels Corp., the largest provider of clean fuel for the transportation market, has also seen a surge in RNG deals, signing agreements with various customers across different sectors, including heavy-duty trucks, transit, and refuse markets [2].

Clean Energy's recent deals include a fueling agreement with DHL to provide 100,000 gallons annually of RNG for its trucks in California, Texas, and Arizona, and a station build and RNG supply deal with Food Express for its fleet of 20 heavy-duty Class 8 trucks in California [2]. These deals demonstrate the increasing recognition of RNG as a viable and effective alternative fuel solution.

The growing adoption of CNG and RNG fuel systems is driven by the need for more sustainable and cost-effective transportation solutions. As governments and companies worldwide prioritize environmental sustainability, the demand for cleaner fuels is expected to continue to rise.
