Heavy rainfall and wind in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts caused partial damage to 12 houses. In Udupi, 4 houses were damaged in Byndoor taluk, 2 in Kaup taluk, and 1 in Karkala taluk, while in Dakshina Kannada, 4 houses were damaged in Bantwal taluk and 1 in Moodbidri taluk. A minor landslip occurred at Bhandaribettu near B.C. Road, and a footbridge collapsed at Nadyelu under Kadeshwalya village. Heavy rains and sustained winds are forecasted to occur in the districts from Sunday to July 9.
