The company plans to lease and domestically manufacture Russia's SJ-100 aircraft, starting with 10 units and increasing domestic manufacturing over three years. HAL will also focus on increasing its civil footprint and has signed an MoU with Russia's PJSC-UAC for the production of SJ-100 aircraft in India.
