ONE Group Hospitality has appointed Nicole Thaung as its new Chief Financial Officer. Thaung will take over the role from Tyler Loy, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Thaung brings extensive financial experience to the role, having served as the Chief Financial Officer at Benihana since August 2018. Prior to her tenure at Benihana, she held progressive leadership positions, including Vice President of Finance and Controller. Before joining Benihana in 2009, Thaung spent nearly eight years at Ernst & Young LLP, where she was an Audit Manager. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida.

Thaung's appointment comes at a pivotal time for The ONE Group, as it continues to integrate the Benihana acquisition. The Benihana acquisition, completed in 2024, is expected to generate $20 million in synergies and now represents over 55% of the company's total revenues. The ONE Group aims to capture the full value of these synergies by the end of 2026.
