The team behind the popular Telegram wallet Grindery has unveiled its latest innovation, Aventino, a permissionless payments layer designed for autonomous AI agents. This development follows the success of Grindery's self-custodial crypto wallet, which has garnered 3.5 million users. Aventino aims to provide financial autonomy to AI agents, enabling them to own wallets, make payments, interact with blockchain protocols, and establish tokenized communities across various platforms.
Aventino leverages the Ethereum account abstraction protocol ERC4337, offering developers the tools to build AI agents that can operate independently. These agents can be built on any large language model (LLM), use any framework, and be distributed on any client or device. The platform allows developers to enable these agents to pay and get paid, interact with protocols, and issue their own tokens, facilitating the creation of tokenized agents and new forms of governance and growth.
Tim Delhaes, Grindery’s CEO and co-founder, emphasized the importance of financial autonomy for AI agents, stating, “We believe the future of AI requires financial autonomy — not just intelligence of agents.” He added that Aventino empowers developers to build platform-agnostic agents that can
, govern, and evolve on their own, creating a new layer between users and the AI models that power their digital lives, all powered by crypto.Grindery's journey began in 2022 when it was part of the Binance Labs incubation program, initially building a tool dubbed the “Zapier for Web3.” With the success of its Telegram smart wallet, Grindery saw an opportunity to expand into empowering AI agents as autonomous economic actors. Aventino's core capabilities include self-custodial wallets for AI agents, a creator-centric stack for publishing on various platforms, agent tokenization and monetization, and turnkey monetization options for agents to accept payments via traditional fiat methods and crypto.
Delhaes further highlighted the vision behind Aventino, stating, “AI agents should be free to evolve, interact, and earn.” He explained that Aventino is building the infrastructure for this vision, enabling a future where anyone can build AI agents with real-world utility and governance, powered by crypto. The launch of Aventino significantly extends the utility of Grindery's universal gas token,
, which is now trading on major exchanges. Beyond cross-chain gas payments and governance, GX will be used for agent-to-agent transactions, facilitating seamless payments across platforms and providing access and incubation mechanisms for the next generation of AI builders.Grindery is actively seeking partnerships with LLM platforms, messaging clients and protocols, wallet providers, no- and low-code platforms, and blockchain protocols with AI ambitions. The company has already launched an idea forum to crowd-source ideas and requests for customized AI agents from the community and is onboarding developers from AI, crypto, and domain-specific fields. The next 4–8 weeks will be a pivotal phase as the team accelerates the development of Aventino, transitioning from private into public beta.
Grindery is building the permissionless payment layer for autonomous AI agents, powered by GX and backed by Yzi Labs. By enabling secure, interoperable transactions between web3-native AI agents across any chain or framework, Grindery is laying the foundation for a decentralized, agentic AI future.
