Gray Media (NYSE: GTN) has announced the promotion of Bob Kroeger to Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately. Kroeger, who previously served as Chief Information Officer for both Gray and Raycom Media, succeeds David Burke, who retired on July 31, 2025 [1].
With over 32 years of leadership experience in television broadcast engineering and IT, Kroeger brings extensive expertise in IT strategy, enterprise security, broadcast system management, and emerging technologies. His career includes executive roles at major broadcast groups and leadership positions at various television stations. Kroeger holds degrees from Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati.
Gray Media, the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations, serves 113 television markets reaching approximately 37% of US television households. The company's portfolio includes 78 markets with the top-rated television station and 99 markets with the first and/or second highest rated television station during 2024, as well as the largest Telemundo Affiliate group with 44 markets [1].
