Google is upgrading group chats in Google Messages, allowing for custom icons, RCS-enabled friend visibility, and notification muting. The Google Home app will also feature device-specific shortcuts for Favorites across Android, Wear OS, and Google TV. Wear OS will support tapping city transit cards even if the app is closed, and the Personal Safety app will let you extend check-in time with a tap of your phone or smartwatch. New Emoji Kitchen combinations and a Google Photos editor and image viewer redesign are also coming.
