Google Meet will fully replace legacy Google Duo calling in September 2025. Legacy Duo features such as Family mode, Mirror mode, Knock Knock, and emoji sending from the pre-call screen will be removed, while features like in-call chat messages, live captions, screen sharing, and improved tablet layouts will be retained in Meet calls. Users are prompted to export their call history and video messages before they are removed in September.
