Goldman Sachs Warns Clients of Potential Data Exposure in Law Firm Breach

Goldman Sachs warned investors in its alternative investment funds that their data may have been exposed in a breach at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP, the law firm that serves as outside counsel. Goldman said it was working with Fried Frank to understand if data was exposed and that its own systems remain secure. Fried Frank said the vulnerability that led to the breach had been corrected and exposed data is unlikely to be distributed improperly.
