Godrej o Agrovet: Sunil Kataria takes over as CEO & MD

Godrej Agrovet Ltd. has appointed Sunil Kataria as its Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director – Designate. Kataria, formerly the CEO & MD of Raymond Lifestyle, will assume the role starting May 5, 2025, following the conclusion of Balram Singh Yadav's tenure on August 31, 2025. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval and is expected to be confirmed for a five-year term from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2030 [1].

Kataria brings over three decades of experience in consumer goods, telecom, and retail, with a strong focus on sales, marketing, strategy, and leadership. He began his career at Marico and holds a degree in Economics from Delhi University and an MBA in Marketing from IMT Ghaziabad. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to drive large-scale business transformation and organizational growth for Godrej Agrovet.

Balram Singh Yadav, whom Kataria succeeds, has been instrumental in establishing Godrej's poultry business and launching renowned brands like Real Good Chicken and Yummiez in India. Yadav's tenure has been marked by significant contributions to national and international discussions on food and agriculture.

This appointment is a significant development in the agricultural sector, with Kataria's extensive experience in leadership and business transformation expected to steer Godrej Agrovet towards new heights.
