General Motors has laid off nearly 3,400 workers across EV plants in Ohio and Michigan, amid a $1.6 billion charge related to EV efforts. The company cited low EV demand, with CFO Paul Jacobson saying rivals were selling EVs for "whatever they could get." GM also announced the end of production for the BrightDrop Fleet EV Van due to low demand.
