General Motors and Allison Transmission have reached a new agreement, allowing Allison branding to be reinstated on Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty pickup models. The deal comes after the two companies couldn't agree on a renewed licensing deal, causing the trucks to stop carrying Allison branding in 2026. The agreement won't affect the trucks' hardware, as Allison hasn't built transmissions for GM since 2020.
