Gentera: Peru unit operations remain stable after incident
C3 Metals Inc. (TSXV: CCCM) (OTCQB: CUAUF) has announced the commencement of drilling at its Khaleesi copper-gold project in Peru. The company has contracted AK Drilling International to conduct a minimum 6,000-meter diamond core drilling program at the project, which is scheduled to start in early September [1].
The drilling program, consisting of 14 drill holes, is designed to test co-incident high tenor geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The drilling will target two IP chargeability anomalies that converge at approximately 600m depth, coinciding with strong copper soil geochemical anomalies [1]. Mobilization of equipment and personnel to the drill site is scheduled for the first half of September, with all necessary regulatory approvals secured [1].
The Khaleesi project is located in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt of Southern Peru and represents a rare opportunity to explore an undrilled copper-gold mineralized skarn, epithermal, and porphyry prospect [1]. The project is strategically located near large-scale operations such as Las Bambas (MMG) and Constancia (Hudbay Minerals) [1].
C3 Metals has previously worked with AK Drilling on the resource delineation drilling at its Montana de Cobre skarn, and the company is pleased to collaborate again due to AK Drilling's attention to safety and environmental management and strong operational performance [1]. The company is currently preparing drill access trails, pads, and camp construction [1].
The Khaleesi project has never been drill tested historically or by C3 Metals. Recent geophysical surveys have identified large, coincident magnetic (Mag), Induced Polarization (IP), and MagnetoTelluric (MT) anomalies at the site [1]. These anomalies coincide with high-grade copper-molybdenum and copper-zinc in soil anomalies [1].
C3 Metals is a mineral exploration company focused on creating value for shareholders through the discovery and development of large copper and gold deposits. The company holds approximately 31,000 hectares located in the prolific Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt of Southern Peru [1].
