The recall affects certain models of the Chevrolet Silverado manufactured between 2019 and 2024. It is estimated that approximately 1% of the recalled vehicles are affected by this issue. In January, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launched an investigation into 877,000 General Motors vehicles due to multiple reports of V8 engine failures. Following this, General Motors conducted an internal investigation to address the issue.
