General Motors (GM.US) announced on Monday that it would cut 1,000 salaried employees in its global software and services division. The company confirmed earlier reports of layoffs and said in a statement that "as we build the future of General Motors, we must simplify, accelerate, and prioritize bold choices and investments that will have the greatest impact."
