Policies such as return-to-office (RTO) mandates and massMASS-- layoffs have contributed to a rise in shaming, gaslighting, and micromanaging at work. These unpopular policies have created a stressful and hostile work environment, making the prospect of returning to the office even less appealing for many Gen Z workers. The combination of these factors has led to a significant portion of this generation expressing a preference for continued remote work, citing the ability to stream content and the overall comfort of working from home as key reasons for their stance.
