At this GTC, GCL Group, Peking University, and NVIDIA reached a deep cooperation in the field of research and production, jointly launching a photovoltaic power prediction large model based on NVIDIA Earth-2 platform, marking a breakthrough in the intelligent transformation of the energy industry. The model innovatively constructs a triangular support system of "industrial data + research and development capabilities + super computing power": relying on GCL Group's rich experience and massive data accumulation in the clean energy field, integrating the cutting-edge research and development results of Peking University in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data analysis, etc., and using the weather and climate prediction data from NVIDIA Earth-2 platform, it can accurately predict the power generation of new energy. NVIDIA Earth-2 is a climate digital twin cloud platform that integrates the powerful functions of AI, GPU acceleration, physical simulation, and computer graphics, and can make weather and climate predictions and generate data with unprecedented accuracy and speed worldwide. Using the predicted data, the accuracy of photovoltaic power generation prediction will be improved by 3 to 5 percentage points compared with relying solely on time series models.
