Galxe's Gravity Update Achieves 7,000-8,000 TPS, Outpaces Ethereum, Solana

Galxe, a decentralized web3 super app, has announced significant advancements in its blockchain technology with the "Gravity" update. The update aims to enhance the chain's speed, processing capabilities, and security, positioning it as a leader in the industry.

On March 3, 2025, Galxe unveiled Grevm 2.0, a major upgrade to Gravity’s execution engine. This update has enabled Gravity to achieve sub-second finality and process between 7,000-8,000 Transactions Per Second (TPS) in its Devnet 1.0 environment. This performance is a substantial improvement compared to Ethereum, which processes around 300-400 TPS, and Solana, which handles approximately 3,000-4,000 TPS.

Gravity is built using Aptos architecture, which has demonstrated the ability to achieve over 12,000 TPS. Galxe anticipates that Gravity will eventually average around 10,000 TPS. Additionally, Gravity consumes 95% less CPU than its competitors, making it a highly efficient and scalable solution for demanding use cases such as DeFi, gaming, and traditional finance.

Galaxy’s CTO, Yumin Xia, commented on the development of Gravity, stating, “With Gravity, we want to build a chain that is fast, scalable, composable, and open-source. Our closest competitor - Monad - is achieving similar speeds, but in a closed environment. The two of us are, effectively, building the sports cars of blockchain, but Gravity will be available to any developer to build the next generation of web3 projects - not just a select few.”

In addition to the advancements in Gravity, Galxe’s Earndrop program has made significant progress since its launch in January. The program has partnered with various projects, including XRP, Solayer, Jambo, and Diam, to distribute rewards to its users. Galxe has also integrated with Soneium, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, to enhance scalability, interoperability, and accessibility.

Galxe has also introduced “Get G,” a dedicated portal designed to simplify the acquisition of G tokens by aggregating all available access points in one place, eliminating the need to navigate multiple platforms.
