France to Supply Ukraine with Enhanced Air Defense Systems

France will provide Ukraine with eight SAMP/T air defense systems, totaling 48 launchers. The systems will feature updated Aster 30 B1NT missiles capable of intercepting ballistic and hypersonic targets. Each system will include six launchers, bringing the total number of launchers to 48. The SAMP/T system is designed to intercept a broad range of aerial threats, including fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles. The enhanced Aster 30 B1NT missiles will provide medium-altitude coverage over key infrastructure and urban areas.
