Despite the overall growth, Ford's best-selling F-series truck witnessed a 3.4% drop in sales to 68,318 units in August. The company's electric vehicle (EV) sales jumped by 19.3% to 10,671 units, while hybrid vehicle sales increased by 14.5% to 18,773 units [2].
Among SUVs, the Ford Explorer was the best-seller, with sales increasing by 22% to 20,617 units. The Lincoln brand contributed 8,379 units, representing a 14.9% year-over-year decline [2].
The Mustang Mach-E SUV was the best-selling electric vehicle, with 7,226 units sold. The company also sold 3,217 units of its electric truck, the F-150 Lightning [2].
