FOGO Launches Public Mainnet, Touts 40-Millisecond Block Times and High-Throughput Capabilities

Fogo launched its public mainnet on January 15, 2026, with a block time of 40 milliseconds and the ability to process more than 136,866 transactions per second. The platform's speed is attributed to its use of Solana's SVM, which allows parallel transaction execution and aims to attract developers from the Solana ecosystem. The network's fast finality and high throughput make it suitable for real-time applications such as DeFi and trading.

The mainnet was launched after a $7 million token sale on Binance, which offered 2% of the FOGO supply at a $350 million valuation. This funding supports the development of the Fogo ecosystem, with plans to double the number of decentralized applications in the coming months. The platform also launched a conversion mechanism for early participants who earned 'Fogo Flames' points, converting them to FOGO tokens as part of the mainnet launch.
