Flowdesk Secures $102M for Global Expansion, Crypto Credit Desk

Flowdesk, a leading digital asset trading and liquidity provider, has secured $102 million in funding to expand its global operations. The round was led by HV Capital, with a debt facility provided by BlackRock-managed funds. This significant investment will enable Flowdesk to scale its over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives business, launch a dedicated crypto credit desk, and double its headcount.

Flowdesk's CEO, Guilhem Chaumont, expressed his enthusiasm about the funding round, stating, "This marks a pivotal moment for Flowdesk as we accelerate our expansion into key global markets. Flowdesk's robust global infrastructure, which offers unparalleled market connectivity, regulatory coverage, and a broad range of liquidity solutions, has positioned the company as a leader in the digital asset trading landscape. The company plans to expand its presence in the Middle East, with the UAE being the next potential hub. Flowdesk has a proven track record of making strategic bets in new markets, as seen with its expansion to the U.S. during the height of the Biden White House's war on crypto.

Tokenization is another key focus for Flowdesk, as institutional interest in on-chain assets continues to grow. The company has worked with token issuers to facilitate liquidity for tokenized assets and plans to expand its services to include stablecoins, tokenized securities, and money market funds.
