Web3 gaming has emerged as one of the most dynamic sectors within the cryptocurrency community, with significant activity observed on digital platforms. On July 4, 2025, Phoenix Group, in collaboration with LunarCrush, released new data highlighting the most active gaming projects on the blockchain. These projects were ranked based on the number of engaged posts and total interactions, which were gathered over a 24-hour period. The interactions, which include likes, retweets, upvotes, and comments, provide insights into which gaming ecosystems are generating the most real-time discussion and engagement.
FLOKI, a token that has gained significant traction, led the rankings with 429.8K interactions, the highest among all mentioned tokens. This impressive performance can be attributed to its growing popularity, fueled by a new marketing campaign, recent exchange listings, and an active community of supporters. FLOKI also secured 4.9K engaged posts, closely following APE Coin, which had 5.3K engaged posts but fewer interactions at 215.4K. This indicates that while APE Coin maintains a strong online presence, FLOKI's community is more actively engaged.
GALA, another prominent web3 gaming project, achieved 4.7K engaged posts and 219.3K interactions, demonstrating its relevance in the Web3 gaming space. GALA's ecosystem, which includes NFT-based games and various collaborators, continues to attract a dedicated user base. Verasity (VRA) and Render Network (RENDER) also showed notable activity. VRA reached 4.4K engaged posts and 321.6K interactions, while Render Network had 3.8K posts with 372.0K interactions. Render Network's high engagement ratio suggests that its GPU cloud rendering capabilities in the metaverse are of significant interest to the community.
ZENT and Decentral Games (DG) also made a mark despite not being the most prominent projects. ZENT had 3.5K engaged posts and 217.4K interactions, while DG had 3.2K posts and 80.5K interactions. These metrics indicate a growing and interested user base for both projects, possibly due to recent updates or new features.
(AXS), a well-known web3 gaming project, received 2.7K engaged posts and 149.1K interactions, showing that it continues to hold appeal despite the emergence of new competitors. BEAM, the native coin of the Merit Circle DAO ecosystem, performed well with 2.6K posts and 212.6K interactions, suggesting renewed interest in the community, likely due to recent protocol updates. Immutable X (IMX), an Layer-2 game platform, completed the list with 2.3K engaged posts and 286.3K interactions, demonstrating its leadership in infrastructure-centered game development. One of the key insights from the July 4 report is that the number of interactions does not always correlate with the number of posts. For example, Render and IMX recorded much higher interactions per post, indicating that the quality of the content and the sentiment of the users play a crucial role in community engagement. This highlights the importance of meaningful interactions over sheer volume of posts in driving community engagement and interest in web3 gaming projects.
