Fiona Lam, a seasoned financial executive with extensive international experience, has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, effective October 15, 2024 [1]. With a proven track record in finance and transformation, Lam brings valuable experience from her previous roles at Philips Lighting, Punch Powertrain, and Neways Electronics International.
Lam's appointment comes after the current CFO, Dirk De Man, announced his departure due to health reasons. Agfa-Gevaert, a leading company in medical imaging technology and IT systems, generated €1.15 billion in revenue in 2023 [2].
Prior to joining Agfa-Gevaert, Lam served as the CFO of Punch Powertrain, a tier-1 transmission supplier for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with operations in Europe, China, and India. Before that, she held several executive financial leadership positions at Philips Lighting. Lam's diverse experience in finance, business development, and marketing, combined with her fluency in Dutch, English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, make her an ideal fit for the Agfa-Gevaert Group.
Lam holds an Executive Master in Finance & Controlling from Maastricht University and an MBA from the University of Greenwich. She has studied economics and finance at the University of Guelph, Canada.
Agfa-Gevaert's Executive Board and Supervisory Board expressed their gratitude to De Man for his contributions to the company during his tenure as CFO and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
