Cibus has completed the FDA's Plant Biotechnology Consultation Program for its altered lignin alfalfa trait, enabling US commercialization. The trait offers improved digestibility for livestock and greater harvest flexibility for farmers. Developed in partnership with S&W Seed Company, the alfalfa has an altered lignin profile, providing potential increased nutrient availability and greater profitability for farmers. Commercial quantities will be available in two initial variety offerings.
