A 45-year-old man and his second wife were arrested for abetting suicide after their 16-year-old daughter was found dead at their house in Otteri. The girl, who was a Class 12 student, was physically assaulted by her stepmother and forced to stay home. Despite her complaints, her father did not intervene. The police investigated and arrested the couple.
