The American Farm Bureau Federation's (AFBF) 2025 convention is shaping up to be an action-packed day, focused on the hottest topics and most pressing issues facing farmers, ranchers, and consumers. Sunday's slate of activities promises to be engaging and informative, with two general sessions, 11 workshops, and exciting competitions. Here's a closer look at what's in store:
General Sessions and Keynote Speakers
* The opening general session, starting at 9:30 a.m. Central Time, will feature AFBF President Zippy Duvall delivering his keynote remarks. State award winners will also be announced during this session.
* The mid general session, beginning at 4 p.m. Central Time, will include an inspiring and motivational keynote address from decorated fighter pilot and Folds of Honor founder Lt. Col. Dan Rooney. The Farm Dog of the Year and Distinguished Service Award winner will be announced during this session as well.

Media are also invited to attend the convention opening press conference at 1:45 p.m. Central Time, where President Duvall will provide a wrap-up of AFBF's work in 2024 and preview priorities for 2025.
Workshops and Cultivation Center Stage
Sunday's workshops will focus on a wide range of topics, including livestock marketing trends in 2025, an analysis of the 2024 elections, a panel discussion on farmer perceptions of stress and mental health, and public policy hot topics. Cultivation Center Stage presentations will offer tips and tricks from top agricultural social media influencers, insights on solar power, remarks from AFBF's inaugural Veteran Farmer Award of Excellence recipient, and more.
Ag Insights Hub and Competitions
New this year on the trade show floor is the Ag Insights Hub, where key industry partners will deliver timely updates on the issues that matter most to farmers and ranchers. The live pitch competition for the final four Ag Innovation Challenge teams and the Sweet 16 round of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet will also take place on Sunday.
The American Farm Bureau Federation's 2025 convention promises to be an insightful and inspiring event, bringing together farmers, ranchers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the agricultural sector. With engaging workshops, keynote speakers, and competitions, attendees can expect to leave with a renewed sense of purpose and a wealth of new ideas to apply in their own operations.
