Evercore Hires JPMorgan's Ben Carpenter as Senior Managing Director

Evercore has hired JPMorgan's global co-head of health-care investment banking, Ben Carpenter, as a senior managing director. Carpenter will help lead Evercore's health-care practice and focus on advising biopharmaceutical companies. He left JPMorgan last week and will join Evercore next year. This hire follows Joseph Modisett's joining from Morgan Stanley earlier this year. Evercore has advised on recent deals including Cidara Therapeutics' $9.2 billion sale to Merck & Co. and GSK Plc's purchase of an experimental medicine from Boston Pharmaceuticals.
