Tesla has launched updated versions of the Model S and Model X, with significant changes in pricing. BYD has introduced the Dolphin Surf EV in Europe, offering an affordable price starting at £18,650, following aggressive price cuts on its vehicles in China due to an ongoing price war. The company's executive highlights that such a price war is unsustainable. BYD also launched the Seal 06 electric sedan at a competitive price, further undercutting competitors.

Allego has introduced Europe's first rollout of Plug & Charge technology, simplifying EV charging processes by removing apps and cards. This system, based on OCPP 2.0.1, is available at over 5,000 chargers across Europe.

Kia is developing variants of its PV5 electric van, including an electric truck version. The PV5, based on Hyundai's E-GMP platform, offers customizable options, with plans for more variants such as luxury and camper versions. Future models include a PV7 and PV9, with a robotaxi model collaboration with Motional.

Lucid is making strides in developing its midsize EV platform, expected to launch models priced around $50,000. Lucid's new Phoenix hub supports advanced manufacturing activities and aims to ramp up production of the Gravity SUV.

Toyota's bZ3X electric SUV, starting at approximately $15,000, was the best-selling foreign EV in China in May, with strong demand and over 4,344 units sold. The bZ3X offers competitive pricing and advanced features and is part of Toyota's strategy to adapt to the Chinese market with collaborations and new technology.

Chevrolet is experiencing a surge in EV registrations, largely driven by the Equinox and Blazer models. Chevy registered 9,160 EVs in April, marking a significant increase from last year with a market share rise to 9.4%. Chevy's Equinox EV starts at $34,995 and has seen substantial demand.
