TSLA --
【Tesla】

Tesla is planning to unveil a dedicated robotaxi vehicle, moving beyond its long-standing promise that existing consumer models would evolve into self-driving taxis through software updates. Despite CEO Elon Musk's repeated assurances since 2016, Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) remains at Level 2 autonomy. Unlike competitors Waymo and Cruise, Tesla relies solely on camera-based vision systems. The new robotaxi is expected to use similar hardware to current Teslas, though its success may depend on geo-fencing. If it introduces new, non-retrofit hardware, current Tesla owners may feel misled. Meanwhile, Tesla is facing union challenges in Sweden but continues to perform well in terms of car deliveries.

【NIO】

NIO's new affordable sub-brand, the Onvo L60 electric SUV, quickly gained traction, delivering 832 units in just three days post-launch. Priced as low as $21,200 with battery rental options, the L60 is positioned as a rival to Tesla's Model Y in China, offering a spacious design and competitive features. NIO's strong performance in September marks its fifth consecutive month of over 20,000 deliveries, with the Onvo L60 contributing to a new quarterly delivery record.
