Despite having over 1 million reservations for the Cybertruck, Tesla has now made the vehicle available for immediate order in the US, with deliveries starting from the next month. This step comes after Tesla invited some recent reservation holders to order and began opening orders to Canadians. The dual motor version is currently available, and Tesla has yet to confirm plans to launch the Cybertruck outside North America. Tesla is now offering a Cybertruck range extender, which is an extra battery pack costing around $16,000, requiring installation at a Tesla service center. This extender can increase the Cybertruck's range significantly but takes up about 33% of the vehicle's bed space. This move follows the opening of orders to the general public and the discontinuation of the reservation process.
Enphase Energy is now offering residential EV chargers with NACS connectors compatible with Teslas and other NACS-compatible EVs. These chargers come with energy management features and the ability to charge using excess solar power if integrated with the Enphase Energy System.
The world's largest EV battery maker, CATL, has opened an EV experience center in China, featuring models from brands like Tesla, Volkswagen, and NIO.
BMW's app update now allows EV drivers to manage payments through a new Charging Wallet feature, similar to Tesla's system.
