Saudi Arabia has purchased eight of Candela's P-12 electric ferries for use in its NEOM desert megacity. These ferries use computer-controlled hydrofoils to lift out of the water, optimizing battery efficiency and extending range. Initially launched for recreational use, Candela has expanded into commercial vessels, including the P-12, which is designed for zero-emission transport and offers faster, more frequent commutes than traditional ferries. Delivery starts next year, and the P-12 will also operate in Stockholm's public transit system, providing a smoother, energy-efficient ride.

CASE has introduced the world’s first electric backhoe loader, the CASE 580EV, which mirrors the specifications of its popular diesel-powered counterpart but uses an 80 kW electric drive motor and a 71 kWh lithium-ion battery. The machine features independent electric motors for various operations to enhance energy efficiency and performance. Designed as a purpose-built EV, it offers zero-emissions, reduced noise, and practical advantages over internal combustion engine machines. CASE plans to expand its EV lineup to five machines by the end of 2024.
