The processing plant will have low emissions of greenhouse gases and minimal hazardous air pollutants. Water usage is a fraction of other lithium producers. The final processing design was derived from bench and pilot plant test work, resulting in a clear understanding of the processing chemistry and sequences. Overall recoveries are estimated to be 85% for lithium carbonate, 95% for lithium hydroxide, and 79% for boric acid.
