The airline plans to add more Airbus A350s and retrofitted Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, all featuring Premium Economy, to destinations in the Middle East and West Asia. By the end of 2025, Emirates expects to offer over 2 million Premium Economy seats.

Emirates Airlines has taken a significant step to enhance its cabin experience by deploying retrofitted Boeing 777s in Mumbai, offering new Premium Economy cabins to customers on 22 weekly flights. This move is part of a broader strategy to scale up its Premium Economy footprint across the Middle East and West Asia.

The airline plans to introduce more Airbus A350s and retrofitted Airbus A380s, all featuring Premium Economy, to destinations such as Amman, Muscat, and Bahrain. By the end of 2025, Emirates expects to offer over 2 million Premium Economy seats, underscoring its commitment to providing high-quality travel experiences [2].

Emirates’ retrofit programme, one of the largest in aviation history, is progressing rapidly. To date, 67 aircraft have been refurbished, with plans to retrofit 219 aircraft, including a combination of 110 A380s and 109 Boeing 777s [2]. The airline is currently operating 9 A350s to 15 destinations.

The deployment of these aircraft with enhanced cabins, including Premium Economy, aligns with growing demand for premium travel options. Emirates aims to boost its Premium Economy cabin offering on more than 635 weekly flights across its network by winter. By the end of 2025, the airline expects to serve 68 cities with aircraft fitted with its Premium Economy product, with 36 of them exclusively featuring this cabin [2].

This strategic expansion is expected to enhance customer satisfaction and potentially increase revenue for Emirates. The airline is leveraging its retrofit programme to offer a more consistent and premium travel experience, which is crucial in today’s competitive aviation market.
